With a budget of $85 million, this film promises to be filled with horror, excellent acting and meticulous direction from Joe Johnston. Filmed in both the United States as well as on location and studios in various part of the United Kingdom, it truly captures the Victorian times as they were in the 1880’s. The newest remake is star studded, with heavies such as Anthony Hopkins, and Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro playing the lead. No expense seems to have been spared in creating the sets, the costumes, and creative appearances of the monster, as well as the film locations, all of which have turned out a truly awesome product. Unlike some remakes that seek to “embellish” on the old stories told in older films, in this case they have adhered to the original plotline, which makes for a much cleaner script that stood alone before, and can definitely stand alone this time as well. In the original plotline we find Lawrence Talbot, now played very nicely by Benicio del Toro, being reunited with his father with whom he was previously estranged due to the disappearance of his brother. Lawrence Talbot lost his childhood the very night that his mother passed away. Escaping the very quiet Victorian rural community of Blackmoore, decades go by as he tries in vain to both recover and also to forget the mystery of what happened.

We find that his brother’s fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, admirably and beautifully played by Emily Blunt, finally found him to have him aid in finding her beloved fiancée, Talbot is forced to return back to Blackmoore, in order to commence the search for his missing brother. While investigating the disappearance, he is told of villagers having been killed by a “thing” that has truly insatiable blood lust coupled with incredibly brute strength. Meanwhile a very suspicious inspector representing Scotland Yard arrives to investigate the murders. Hugo Weaving plays this part of the inspector, Aberline.

As gory as this puzzle is, Talbot ns hapless people into werewolves when the area has a full moon. Because he has fallen in love with Gwen Conliffe, he sweaforces himself to go on, and as he does so he is informed of this particularly evil curse that turrs that he will rid Blackmoore of this ferociously sadistic living thing. As he tracks this ghastly and revolting beast, this trouble-free man, though he holds a tortured past, must come across a very primordial aspect of himself, and it is one that he never suspected even existed.

Actually conceived in 2006, creative differences in making this film have prevented its release, but it is finally going to be released approximately 4 years later, in February 2010. The film is long awaited by many, who remember the Wolfman of old, and many now wish to see The Wolfman online.

Both David Self and Andrew Kevin Walker have written the screenplay that will be released by Universal Pictures, and I am absolutely certain that you will love to watch “The Wolfman!” It promises to be a blockbuster!
